Verity has been teaching Pilates for over 10 years, having undertaken her comprehensive training at The Scott Studio in 2010. She is happy teaching all levels, from athletes to beginners,  rehab clients returning to exercise after injury or surgery and those returning to exercise after a break. 

 

Verity found Pilates a valuable tool when recovering from a serious riding accident in 2008 and this fuelled her passion for the Pilates method.

 

With her enthusiasm, experience and empathetic approach, you can be confident that classes will be varied, challenging and true to the Pilates method.​

FAQ

Information for mat classes

Mats

Mats are provided but you may prefer to use your own. It is worth noting that a yoga mat, whilst providing good grip, doesn't offer the comfort of a Pilates mat. If you are choosing a mat, opt for a thicker, more cushioned one so that the floor doesn't feel so hard!

Small equipment

Balls, bands and rollers are all provided. They might not be used every week, but can provide variety and tactile feedback to help with certain exercises

Cushions

Head cushions are NOT provided, but you are encouraged to bring something to provide an extra bit of padding. A rolled up towel can be really useful as head support and to pop under your boney bits when lying on your front or side

Your health & well being

Your health and well being are important, if you have an existing condition or find certain things difficult please let Verity know. It is possible to offer variations or adapt exercises to suit nearly every body. Group classes require you to take responsibility for your own body and speak up if you experience any discomfort.
